
TSX Equity Financings Jump 207% in June, TMX Group Data Shows
Companies raised $2.85 billion on the Toronto Stock Exchange in June 2026, more than triple May's total, even as the number of individual deals and new listings both declined.
TSX equity financings jumped 207% month-over-month in June 2026, with companies raising a total of $2.85 billion on the exchange, according to TMX Group's Equity Financing Statistics released July 9, 2026. Despite the sharp monthly gain, the June total was down 25% compared with June 2025.
The rise in dollars raised came even as the number of individual financings fell. TSX recorded 49 financings in June 2026, down from 77 in May 2026 but slightly below the 55 recorded in June 2025.
New listings slow after a busy May
TSX added 31 new issuers in June 2026, a step down from 67 in May 2026 but above the 25 new issuers listed in June 2025. The June cohort was dominated by exchange-traded funds:
- 23 ETFs - Four mining companies - Two life sciences companies - Two Canadian Depositary Receipts
