TSX Hits Fresh Record as Energy, Mining Stocks Rally
Canada's main stock index notched its latest all-time high this week, with energy and mining stocks driving gains even as new US tariff threats loomed.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index closed at a record 35,485.11 on July 23, 2026, up 116.03 points, or 0.3%, topping the previous high the benchmark had set just over a week earlier, on July 15.
