Wealthsimple Tops $155.6B in Assets as Chequing Accounts Outpace Investing Signups

The Canadian fintech's assets under administration jumped 24.7% quarter-over-quarter as new chequing account signups outpaced new investing signups for the first time.

Wealthsimple closed the second quarter of 2026 with $155.6 billion in assets under administration, up 24.7% from the previous quarter and 84.1% from a year earlier. The company said the quarter brought in roughly $17 billion in net inflows, with growth driven largely by demand for its chequing and spending products.
